Petals and Pastels is a love letter to spring and the myriad of colors that appear as if by magic after a long winter.
The original painting for this limited edition Tornado Popper was made exclusively for this release by artist Katy Klassman.
Katy started mixing pigments at a young age for her Grandmother, Dorothy, who was a china (porcelain) painter.
A lifelong fascination and study of color led her full circle to the medium of pastel several years ago as they are the closest material to pure pigment.
Pastels lend themselves to paintings rich in luminous color and create a tactile surface, both of which we have translated to the barrel of the Petals and Pastels pen. We've paired the vivid colors with frosted copper appointments and the finish of the pen is pebbled to reflect the unique texture of a pastel painting.
We hope you'll be inspired by the kaleidoscope of color found in the trellises of flowers on the pen and feel compelled to write your own story of spring.
